Food first is the first channel of Real Lifestyle Network.

India’s broadcasting industry will soon get country’s first dedicated food based TV Channel by Alva brothers.  

 

Alva Brothers Entertainment (promoted by Nikhil and Niret Alva) is now all set  to revitalise their broadcasting venture of launching Food first’, India’s only television channel dedicated to food and food-related experiences.

 

As per the network “Food first” is the first milestone of series of channels of Real Lifestyle Network, suppose to be lunched one after another. Retrenching from the Hindi general entertainment space, the Alva brothers, have announced the launch to unveil a bouquet of sharply focused lifestyle television channels.

      

After buying out Turner International's stakes in three local joint venture company network is now in the processes of the HD (high-definition) ready channel, Food first, is scheduled to be launched in early 2011, followed by other channels in the lifestyle space over the next year. They repurchased Turner's 29 per cent in Miditech to take full control of the company. They have also signed a term sheet to buyback Turner's 50 per cent in Real Global Broadcasting. Match Box Films, a wholly owned subsidiary of RGB, will also be entirely owned by Alva Brothers Entertainment.

 

Food first has already started technical runs and is being beamed on Intelsat-10; Frequency- 3974 MhZ; Txp- 5; POL- H; Symbol rate- 19.5 MS/S; FEC- ¾. It is unlinked from Turner International’s broadcast earth station in Hong Kong and is available on select networks across the country at this time.

 

A pay channel, Food first will soon be available across the country on both digital and analogue distribution platforms and will target upwardly mobile English speaking, 18+, male and female audiences.
